In less than 48 hours we will be on our way to Chile. I am getting really excited. I'm sure work will just drag by tomorrow! This will be my first time to visit a Latin culture, so I am really looking forward to the coming week's experiences.
Hi, I'm Dr. Valentina Chappell, director of the MGLM program.
On August 4th, a great group of 19 students graduating shortly from Master of Global Leadership and Management program will leave for Chile . They have been learning about cross-cultural communication and negotiations, global business, finance, international marketing, strategy and many other aspects of global business. The residency abroad will serve as an opportunity to benchmark their academic knowledge against Chilean business reality. We will visit two companies daily, listen to presentations (Chilean executives speak fluent English), and participate in round table discussions. I'm sure that these business visits will be beneficial to both parties. Most of our students are experienced business people and have a lot to share with their colleagues in Latin America.
We have been working with the Austral Group company located in Santiago for two years to organize this learning experience for the MGLM students.
